Banjo is a tuner, chord library and practice app for the 5-string, tenor and plectrum banjo, by ByteHaven Studios. It works offline, collects no data, and has no subscription.

Common questions
Does Banjo need an internet connection? No. Everything works offline.
Is there a subscription or anything to buy inside the app? No subscription, ever. Banjo is free to download, and Banjo Pro is one optional purchase, paid once: the strobe meter, every other chord type, the other courses, every drill level and every scale. The tuner is never locked.
Which peg turns which string? The tuner shows a banjo headstock and highlights the peg for the string being tuned, the fifth-string peg on the neck included. Change the tuning and it still points at the right peg.
I play a tenor or plectrum banjo. Pick its tuning (tenor CGDA, Irish GDAE or plectrum CGBD) and the tuner switches to a four-peg headstock.
The tuner doesn’t hear my banjo. Allow microphone access (Android: Settings → Apps → Banjo → Permissions; iPhone: Settings → Banjo → Microphone) and play one string at a time, close to the phone.
Restoring on a new phone. Reinstall Banjo from the same store account. If you own Pro, open the Pro screen and tap Restore purchase; the store confirms it, and no account or login is ever needed from us.
