Common questions
Does Charango need an internet connection? No. Everything works offline, including the songs.
Is there a subscription or anything to buy inside the app? No subscription, ever. On Android, Charango is free to download, and Charango Pro is one optional purchase, paid once: the strobe meter, every other chord type, the rest of the songbook with chord mode, the other courses, every drill level and every scale. The tuner is never locked. On the App Store, Charango is sold as a one-time purchase with everything included, so there is nothing to buy inside it.
Which peg turns which string? The tuner shows a charango headstock and highlights the peg for the string being tuned.
The tuner doesn’t hear my charango. Allow microphone access (Android: Settings → Apps → Charango → Permissions; iPhone: Settings → Charango → Microphone) and play one string at a time, close to the phone.
Restoring on a new phone. Reinstall Charango from the same store account. If you own Pro, open the Pro screen and tap Restore purchase; the store confirms it, and no account or login is ever needed from us. If you bought Charango back when it was a paid app, Pro is already yours.
