Common questions
Does Guitar need an internet connection? No. Everything works offline, the songbook included.
Is there a subscription or anything to buy inside the app? No subscription, ever. Guitar is free to download, and Pro is one optional purchase, paid once: the strobe meter, every other chord type, the other eleven courses, the rest of the songbook with chord mode, every drill level and every scale. The tuner and every tuning are never locked.
Which peg turns which string? The tuner shows a guitar headstock and marks the peg for the string being tuned.
I play in drop D, DADGAD or open G, or on a 7-, 8- or 12-string. Pick it from the eleven tunings. All of them are free, and the chord library redraws every chord for the tuning you are in.
The tuner doesn’t hear my guitar. Allow microphone access (Android: Settings → Apps → Guitar → Permissions; iPhone: Settings → Guitar → Microphone) and play one string at a time, close to the phone.
Restoring on a new phone. Reinstall Guitar from the same store account. If you own Pro, open the Pro screen and tap Restore purchase; the store confirms it, and no account or login is ever needed from us.
